We have been flying a lot of aerodrome patterns lately, trying them out in different aerodromes to get a richer experience. While I am improving, my instructor is not completely confident in my flying, and so he doesn’t want to let me fly solo just yet. Perhaps if I had only one instructor from the beginning it could have been faster, but we are where we are now.
However, I am not complaining. Safety should be always the first priority, and I actually enjoy flying the patterns. It’s great to see my confidence grow with every flight. Besides, I need over 200 hours for my commercial license, so whether I have 45 or 60 hours after finishing my private license doesn’t matter much in the grand scheme of things.
Whether you’re a pilot or a passenger, the sight of the land from above is a perspective that never grows old!
